This upgrade provided a more reliable and user-friendly system, reducing the risk of unexpected failures and ensuring uninterrupted operation for critical wastewater management services.

Originally initiated as a service call for a failed HMI, this project expanded into a full control system retrofit for a municipal wastewater treatment facility. We replaced the aging control components with CompactLogix PLC, C-More HMI, and WEG drives. Without existing documentation, we collaborated with the operations manager to develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) to guide the PLC and HMI programming. To minimize downtime, we implemented a temporary manual drive control mode, allowing continuous water flow until the system was fully transitioned to Ethernet-based control.
