Significantly improved worker safety while maintaining high production speeds, reducing liability, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations

A large number of laminator lines required a comprehensive safety solution to protect operators without impeding productivity. Our solution incorporated a Keyence Light Curtain, Safety Scanner, and GC1000 safety controller. The safety logic was managed within the GC1000 and integrated via Profinet to an existing Siemens S7-1200 PLC and Comfort Panel. To balance safety with operational needs, we implemented a "Creep Mode" that allowed slow-speed adjustments while ensuring full safety protocols at higher speeds.
