OEE Data Integration for Robotic Machinery

This project focused on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by integrating data collection capabilities into an existing robotic filtration manufacturing system. Management wanted insight into recipe parameters, throughput, and downtime causes for all machines in the plant. So, we developed operator prompt screens to capture downtime reasons and production speed adjustments, then relayed this data to the SCADA system (Aveva Insight) for analysis. The integration involved modifications to the CompactLogix PLC, PanelView Plus HMI, and Aveva Insight SCADA, ultimately improving operational efficiency and decision-making.
